Under the Auspices of

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

we are finally here! We are pleased to announce that on 24 and 25 November 2022, the 4th International Congress on Technological Innovation in the Packaging Industry “Advances in the Packaging Industry” will be held at the Donnaregina Museum in Naples.

The event, now in its fourth edition, is promoted by the Regional Competence Centre for Technology and GIFLEX, the National Association of Flexible Packaging Processing Companies, and organised in close collaboration with the National Research Council, the University of Naples Federico II, and the University of Salerno.

The congress unites the academic and research worlds with the industrial world of the entire packaging chain, from raw material producers to end users.

An authoritative Scientific Committee has been set up and is working on the programme to ensure a high scientific level.

The programme will include presentations from the scientific and industrial world on classic and/or most relevant topics at the moment. All flexible packaging materials will be considered, with particular emphasis on those of organic origin and/or compostable or recyclable at the end of their life. Obviously significant attention will be given to new technologies and/or new applications. We will try to build a “space” for newcomers and innovative start-ups.

Attached is the first announcement with which we invite everyone to send their scientific contribution on various relevant topics of great current interest. For further information and call for abstracts please visit the official congress website: www.apicongress.it

About 250 Professors, Researchers and Representatives of the industrial world from all over the world are expected to take part in the conference, which will enjoy the beauty of the city of Naples.

There will also be some nice visits or walks in “classic” Naples, where the congress will be held, as well as a taste of typical Neapolitan cuisine.

We look forward to seeing you there!

On May 29, 2020, the Packaging Ethical Charter Foundation was born.

The Foundation takes its name from the Ethical Packaging Charter, created in 2015 from a shared reflection between Edizioni Dativo and the Milan Polytechnic that gave life to a document of 10 values useful to accompany packaging towards a more conscious future. The recognition of the profound relevance of the 10 values enunciated, together with the desire to give the supply chain a super partes institutional voice capable of stimulating authoritative visions and reflections on ethical packaging design, laid the foundations for the establishment of the Packaging Ethical Charter Foundation.

The Packaging Ethical Charter is a tool for a “system culture”. It intends to relate obligations and rights that link the production with use and consumption, subjects who are bearers of obligations and subjects who enjoy rights and expectations.

The Packaging Ethical Charter connects the rights and the principles in order to establish an ideal contract between the players in the industry, so that they commit themselves to sharing values towards which to strive, without overlapping the regulations and making this choice public.

The Ambassadors of the Ethical Packaging Charter are the spokespersons of this new “system culture” of packaging for an ethical and conscious future. They are companies, enterprises, organizations, associations, consortia, foundations operating in any capacity in the market of production and distribution of raw materials for the packaging industry, in the production or distribution of packaging; using packaging or dealing with reuse or recycling or transformation or carrying out service activities for the packaging supply chain, even post-consumer. The ambassadors are committed to promoting a new business culture, ethical and sustainable; they also undertake to operate in accordance with the ten values of the Packaging Ethical Charter, to disseminate and promote them appropriately.
